The inaugural Dunoon Dirt Dash, which takes place on the 28/29 September as part of the Summit to Sea Outdoor Festival in Dunoon, will be supported by Europe’s leading outdoor app komoot. Founded in 2010 by a group of six outdoor enthusiasts from the Austrian Alps and Germany, the komoot app for Android and iOS has won numerous awards in Google Play and the App Store. Over 8 million cyclists and hikers all over the world use komoot’s unique cycling, hiking and mountain biking route planner, its turn-by-turn voice navigation and high quality, topographic offline maps to experience more of the outdoors.
The route for the event will be available to riders on the komoot app, which is free to download and use, and on the web at www.komoot.com. All riders will also receive a complimentary regional bundle and will be able to download the GPX file, sync with their bike computer and use offline maps for navigation.
Komoot can be synced with most bike computers and has advanced integrations for Wahoo ELEMNT and ELEMNT Bolt. Komoot is also available on Garmin devices with the purpose-built komoot for Garmin app, downloadable from the IQ store.
