Ride Norway’s most iconic gravel route with Markus Stitz and Mark Beaumont

Dirt Dash is teaming up with Jotunheimen Travel for a gravel cycling trip in Norway – the Mjølkevegen Gravel Collective from 6 to 13 September 2026. It will be led by two of the UK’s most well-known adventure and gravel cyclists, Mark Beaumont and Markus Stitz.

Set along the iconic Mjølkevegen (the Milk Route), the event offers you a rare opportunity to experience one of Norway’s most scenic cycling routes. And in the company of two world-class endurance athletes and storytellers.

Combining physical challenge with cultural experience

You can book your spot for 32,900 NOK (appr. £2,550). This includes transfers, luggage transport, 7 nights accommodation incl. breakfast, dinners and packed lunches, as well as a boat cruise, a private sauna session at Filefjellstuene, a local guide and CO2 compensation. The experience starts and finishes in Norway’s capital Oslo.

We have desgined this event, the Mjølkevegen Gravel Collective, as a guided, shared adventure. Over several days, we will ride together through high mountain pastures, remote valleys and traditional summer farms. Furthermore, we will and stay in handpicked mountain lodges to enjoy local Norwegian cuisine—combining physical challenge with cultural experience.

A really special week on the bike

The Mjølkevegen is one of my favourite gravel routes in the world. Sharing the adventure with Mark and other riders will be a really special week on the bike. In addition, I am also looking forward to sharing my local knowledge from having cycled the route several times myself. And, of course, sharing my experience from a decade of adventure cycling with all the riders.’ Markus Stitz

Aged 23 I set out from Oslo for a training ride before pedalling around the planet, from which I have wonderful memories. 20 years later it is so exciting to be going back with fellow world cyclist and friend Markus Stitz to explore the backroads and gravel, and we would love you to join us.’ Mark Beaumont
