Following a successful debut in 2024, the Stans Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dash returns on 5–6 July 2025. The event invites you to experience the stunning scenery of the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Coast.
We organise the Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dash event with support from Stans and Carradice this year. Our event offers you a unique and sociable way to explore one of England’s most captivating regions. Starting at the YHA in Whitby, you will ride a 118-kilometre route at your own pace fully self-supported. You will camp and eat at the North Yorkshire Water Park.

Inclusive, fun and challenging
Whether you are a seasoned gravel rider or someone new to the world of bikepacking, the Dirt Dashes are for you. Our events are inclusive, fun, and challenging, with a strong community ethos at their core. But don’t just trust our words, here is feedback from riders in 2024:
‘It was a great event again. I’m really enjoying the format.’
‘I enjoyed the event, and would recommend it to others.’
So far we have people coming from as far south as Worthing and as far north as Edinburgh and Glasgow to experience the magic of North Yorkshire. Our entry fee of £95 includes campsite, dinner and breakfast, as well as the route as GPX and the broom wagon. You receive a £5 discount if you are a Cycling UK member. The same well-tested concept as our two events in Alyth and Dunoon
“The Stans Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dash follows the same well-tested concept as our two events in Alyth and Dunoon in Scotland,” said Markus Stitz, Director of Dirt Dash Ltd. “It’s about creating a sociable and welcoming environment for people who want to ride bikes and immerse themselves in an area of outstanding beauty. While last year’s route adapted a version of the Route YC Weekender, we’ve made further improvements this year based on rider feedback and redesigned the route.’
